Building a Road of Scoria

Here are a few photos of what Dustin is up to today with the grader.

If you have driven around southwestern North Dakota, you will be familiar with the striking sight of the red roads contrasting against the blue North Dakota sky.

The rock that makes up these red roads is known as scoria, which is sandstone, clay, or shale baked by burning lignite coal.

Bluestone Construction is building some roads in the area for oil sites.
