Recap

Apologies to our faithful blog followers.

Do these exist? Perhaps.

We have failed you in that our blog has not been updated in almost exactly two years.

Yes.

I could attempt to fill you in on all the happenings in two years, but I'm honestly not sure I remember as it has been quite a whirlwind of growth and activity. Instead, I will do a brief recap.

We have pretty much doubled in the amount of equipment we own.

Nearly all of our machines are GPS equipped.

We have several completed projects to add to our portfolio, including the following:
- Minot's 13th St SE rebuild
- Home Depot in Minot site work
- Bourgault shop large yard addition
- Minot's finest tennis court, Hammond park, complete with modern post-tension courts
- Minot Air Force Base Igloos
- Extensive site work on Minot's new North hill developments; including Stonebridge Farms, Pendleton Estates and Highland Hills developments.

We have been happy to have good employees and good work to keep us busy.

Now, to keep the blog updated...

Spring (Or Something Like It)

This spring is off to a very slow start for us. The ground is still holding quite a bit of frost and we have snow refusing to melt as our temperatures are hanging consistently below 30 degrees!

We are ready and excited to get a move on our spring projects, but in the meantime we are ripping frost out of the ground for an anxious home improvement store that is not interested in waiting for spring to start the building process. We cannot blame them!

Minot, ND

Brrrr!

Out comes the frost, willingly or not!

Bluetopping

Here is a video to show our dozer doing some fine grading and skimming over those bluetops.

This development is coming right along; as shown from the sky...

And the earth...

As you can see in the photos, we were working in very dry conditions. We have been blessed this week with a great soaking rain. We (and the farmers) are very thankful.

We've Got the Moves.

Bluestone Construction was contracted to demolish a bank in Minot that is being rebuilt.

Some things are just to nice to tear down.

Instead of destroying a great timber-frame structure, it was picked up and moved out of town to a farmyard where it will be given a new lease at life, going from bank to barn.

Thanks to Huwe Housemovers of Minot for the relocation! Enjoy the beautiful photographs which show off North Dakota on a lovely morning.

Loaded up and ready to leave it's old home, where it has been Gate City Bank since the 80's.

Pulling out of it's old location to put a little delay in the early morning traffic!

From the highway...

To the gravel...

Across the prairie...

Right through a field! {with the farmer's permission, of course.}

And pulling up to the property.

Home sweet {new} home!

Dozing on the Job

We actually prefer when our employees doze on the job.
Dozing on the Job from Jennie Anderson on Vimeo.

In the video you can see some fine grading work on a residential road going in on Minot's north hill.
